“Awakening Through Time: Reconciling the Human and the Divine”

Reconciling the past and future often feels impossible in the present moment. This is largely because we carry so much judgment toward the past—blaming it for what went wrong in our history and in our present lives. In response, our nature urges us to innovate, to find new ways of ”being” and new ways of ”doing”. We see the past as flawed, guilty of creating the pain we now carry: traumas from our upbringing, ancestral moral wounds, and the difficulty of connecting with God and spirituality due to restrictive, coercive, and castrating interpretations of religion.

But what if we adopted a neutral vision of the past?

We would begin to see that what was expressed then was not inherently wrong—it was simply a way of being colored by ego, control, and domination. At the same time, we would recognize that the essence expressed in the past is the same essence flowing through us today, and it still holds value for the future we are building.

It’s also likely that future generations—or perhaps even ourselves, reincarnated—will judge the things we are doing today. And that, too, is part of the process.

We are, both as individuals and as a collective, souls in a process of evolution. We have passed through the stages of physical and mental development, and now we are entering a phase of spiritual evolution. This stage invites us to develop or awaken our extra senses—intuition, clairaudience, clairvoyance, and others. In any evolutionary process, it’s natural to look back and reflect on what “went wrong.” But in truth, those so-called mistakes were not wrong at all—they were essential parts of learning how to be human.

Without those stages of learning, we would still be repeating the same patterns without growing.

What we call errors or damage simply stem from the human being’s previous inability to recognize themselves as part of a greater unity—interconnected and dependent on a Universal Soul. And that Soul is nothing less than the Divine experiencing itself on Earth. The illusion of separation causes us to act in limited, self-centered ways, chasing after individual “well-being” without understanding the whole.

“There is nothing in existence but the One Reality. Error lies only in our judgment.”
— Ibn Arabi

Yet ancestral spiritual wisdom has accompanied us since the very beginning of our journey toward consciousness. Spirituality has always served as guidance—but while many understand its concepts, few truly comprehend its essence. This isn’t because human beings are incapable, but because each soul evolves through different stages. And depending on where we are in our soul’s journey, we will either grasp or overlook the essence of the message.

When we finally do comprehend it, we arrive at a single truth: all teachings point toward the core of existence—the return to the One. But this One is not a separate being waiting to judge us. It is our very essence. Returning to the One means returning to the true knowledge of who we are: not separate gods or external entities, but unique manifestations of the Infinite in physical form.

“The Real is the Being of all that exists, for there is nothing that has being except through Him.”
— Ibn Arabi, Futuhat al-Makkiyya

All our lives—all our events, circumstances, battles, victories, opportunities, and losses—are directed toward one sacred purpose: to remind us of who we are.

Through every experience, our Higher Self is gently (or sometimes urgently) trying to awaken us. Because when we awaken, we can finally live the life we came here to live. We can fulfill our mission. We can bring Heaven to Earth.

My name is Lala Gomez, and I was born in Colombia. My spiritual path was initiated in 2004 through Islam, which I studied in depth for many years. Between 2004 and 2012, I immersed myself in the spiritual, mystical, and theological dimensions of the tradition—a study that continued for a decade more as I began to integrate esoteric tools and other schools of thought, including Kabbalah, Astrology, and Tarot. In 2012, I consciously stepped into a healing process that became a turning point in my life. Guided by a natural connection to Reiki, Tarot, and Astrology, I began developing a personal practice rooted in energy work, intuitive insight, and symbolic exploration. Tarot, in particular, became a therapeutic path for inner listening and healing, which I now offer through a method that blends systemic perspectives, subtle energy, and ancestral wisdom. In 2014, I founded islamenespanol.co to share the essence of Islam beyond rigid interpretations. After a decade of transformation, I launched thecircleofhanik.com—a space dedicated to universal spiritual guidance, beyond the boundaries of any single tradition. Currently, I’m developing a sacred method of natal chart interpretation based on the 28 lunar mansions and the Divine Names of God, inspired by the teachings of Sufi master Ibn Arabi. I’m also writing a book on the 99 Names of Allah as living aspects of the soul’s essence and pathways for inner integration.
