“July Wrap-Up: A Reflection on Inner Child, Ancestral Healing”

As we close July—the 7th month, a number of introspection—we’re called to reflect:
Did we truly connect with our inner child?
Did we meet our ancestral wounds face-to-face?
Did we feel the pain of rejection, abandonment, or disconnection rise to the surface?

This has been a month of deep emotional healing.

The Tarot reflects this beautifully, echoing the planetary energies in the sky. Although we’re currently in Leo season—a time associated with outward expression, creativity, and vibrant selfhood—the strong influence of Mercury retrograde (and other retrogrades) invites a very different kind of spotlight: one that shines inward.

The light of the Sun, symbolic of Leo, is illuminating our inner child—not through joy and playfulness alone, but by highlighting the shadow aspects we once buried. As adults, it felt easier to leave those wounds behind than to face them. But now, the cosmic energy invites us to revisit them with compassion.

This year, 2025, is a 9 year—a year of closure. And July, being a 7 month, brings spiritual depth and introspection. With the retrogrades in full force, the invitation is clear:
Go inward. Grow safely within. Let that internal stability become the seed of future external expansion.

The cards are guiding us to deepen our inner communication—with our past, with our lineage, and with our higher self. It is from this deep place of truth that we are now asked to make choices that align with authentic joy, not societal expectations.

True happiness begins within.
It arises from stability, self-love, and acceptance of who we are—exactly as we are.

Only from this place of contentment can we share ourselves fully with others, not in search of validation or emotional rescue, but from a place of wholeness.

Use this retrograde season to ask yourself:

  • What parts of me feel fragmented or incomplete?
  • Where do I still seek emotional reassurance from the outside world?
  • What am I expecting others to give me that I haven’t yet given myself?
  • Is there an area in which I don’t believe I can succeed alone, so I wait for support?

These are the spaces to reclaim. When you restore your own sense of wholeness, you unlock the energy to move forward—with clarity, power, and grace.

My name is Lala Gomez, and I was born in Colombia. My spiritual path was initiated in 2004 through Islam, which I studied in depth for many years. Between 2004 and 2012, I immersed myself in the spiritual, mystical, and theological dimensions of the tradition—a study that continued for a decade more as I began to integrate esoteric tools and other schools of thought, including Kabbalah, Astrology, and Tarot. In 2012, I consciously stepped into a healing process that became a turning point in my life. Guided by a natural connection to Reiki, Tarot, and Astrology, I began developing a personal practice rooted in energy work, intuitive insight, and symbolic exploration. Tarot, in particular, became a therapeutic path for inner listening and healing, which I now offer through a method that blends systemic perspectives, subtle energy, and ancestral wisdom. In 2014, I founded islamenespanol.co to share the essence of Islam beyond rigid interpretations. After a decade of transformation, I launched thecircleofhanik.com—a space dedicated to universal spiritual guidance, beyond the boundaries of any single tradition. Currently, I’m developing a sacred method of natal chart interpretation based on the 28 lunar mansions and the Divine Names of God, inspired by the teachings of Sufi master Ibn Arabi. I’m also writing a book on the 99 Names of Allah as living aspects of the soul’s essence and pathways for inner integration.
