“Psychic attack” is a commonly used expression in the world of energy healing. Yet often, we repeat these terms without fully understanding how they actually manifest.
Everything we experience physically carries a meaning at the energetic level. Psychic attacks are not always an external force—they can be those moments when our thoughts overwhelm us to the point of paralysis, when mental chaos traps us and we find ourselves unable to move.
Psychic attacks can be seen as showers of disturbing thoughts that generate fear, shame, guilt, anger, and other dense emotions. These emotions lower our vibration, making our energy field heavy and susceptible to spiritual “parasites” or energetic viruses that feed on our weakness.
They often begin with a deterioration of self-esteem, fueled by shameful thoughts that create guilt, self-judgment, and self-rejection. The lower our vibration, the more power these energies gain. The less vitality we have, the more chaotic our mind becomes—and the more chaos manifests around us.
The most powerful antidote to psychic attacks is presence. Presence brings order, clarity, routine, hygiene, discipline—the qualities symbolized by Virgo. Virgo season, which begins with the New Moon on August 23, reminds us of the importance of caring for ourselves.
Presence means inhabiting our body fully. When we lose ourselves in the past or the future, we become vulnerable to psychic attacks—our body is numb while we mourn what has been or fear what is to come. Presence anchors us in today, awakening our senses and guiding us to seek true well-being.
For someone in the midst of a psychic attack, it can feel almost impossible to keep a routine. The trick of these attacks is to convince us that our worries are more important than our order. Virgo’s shadow can manifest as rigidity or obsessive control, which at first glance may seem meaningless. Yet without Virgo’s grounding, its counterpart Pisces—with its dreams, visions, and astral travels—can leave us unanchored, floating without inhabiting the body.
Balance comes when the energetic body realigns, allowing higher realms to root in the physical. That alignment always happens through the body.
Masculine and Feminine Energies
Psychic attacks often reveal a weakened mind, which corresponds to an imbalance in masculine energy. This may stem from life experiences—such as the absence of a strong masculine figure—or from unintegrated aspects of our inner masculine.
The immediate solution is grounding: listening to the body’s call and restoring the presence of the masculine principle through discipline, order, and protection.
At the same time, psychic attacks can point to a lack of connection with the feminine. When the body is devalued, ignored, or disconnected from consciousness, the mind has no landing space and spins out of control. Re-entering the body restores balance—this is the feminine energy, which anchors the mind in matter, in Earth, in life.
Psychic attacks can also echo unresolved issues in the family tree, particularly with great-grandparents—often unknown or excluded from our history. From them we inherit belief systems and mental patterns. When the mind is weakened, it can carry ancestral imprints that resurface as chaotic thoughts, calling us to recognize and heal what was left unresolved.
Healing from psychic attacks requires both immediate grounding and deeper integration. Presence in the body calms the restless mind. Reconnecting with the masculine brings clarity and strength. Honoring the feminine restores embodiment and nurturance. Attending to ancestral roots frees us from unconscious burdens.
A healthy balance arises when the mind has a safe outlet and the body is fully inhabited. Every conscious breath, every act of care, and every moment of presence reclaims our energy and restores harmony.
